On 23 July 2010, a delegation from PC Mauritania (PETRONAS Carigali Mauritania) Pty. Ltd. paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dato’ Jamaiyah M. Yusof. The PC Mauritania delegation was led by Mr. Chandramohan M. Saminathan, General Manager of PC Mauritania Pty. Ltd. He was accompanied by Mr. Ong Chang Lee, Manager of Finance and Administration, Mr. Nhakhorn Somchit, Manager of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Mr. Mustafa Harun, Liaison Officer and Mr. Ibrahima Diagana, Executive Officer.
The courtesy call lasted for about 45 minutes where H.E. Dato’ Ambassador and Mr. Chandramohan exchanged views on various issues including PETRONAS’ operations in Mauritania, local political and security situation in Senegal and Mauritania.
The PC Mauritania delegation was in Dakar from 22 – 25 July 2010 to assess medical facilities in Dakar. The Embassy managed to secure appointments for the delegation to visit the Military Hospital, Principal Hospital Dakar, Clinique du Cap and Clinique de la Madeleine.
Overall, PC Mauritania was impressed with the medical facilities in Dakar which could be considered for treatments of their personnel in the event of any medical emergencies during its operations in Mauritania.
