Course offered: FUNDAMENTAL CERTIFICATE IN ISLAMIC BANKING

Course description:
To expose participants with the following objectives:
1. Understand the philosophy of Islamic Banking and Finance;
2. Summarise the development and innovation of Islamic banking and finance environment;
3. Identify the framework that governs Islamic banking and finance;
4. Discuss the products and services available in Islamic banking;
5. Discuss the Muamalat contract that underlies each product and service in Islamic banking;
6. Define the meaning of Shariah and its objectives;
7. Explain the rule-making process in Islamic Law and its modern application in Islamic Finance;
8. Recognise Shariah principles in Muamalat.
Target participants:
- Officials from Islamic Finance Institutions
Deadline for application: 18 May 2020 (Monday).
