The Embassy of Malaysia in Senegal observed the first day of Hari Raya or ‘Korite’ (in local dialect) with a private gathering at Rumah Malaysia on Friday, 15 June 2018. The event started after the Aidilfitri prayer around 11.00 am with the presence of the Home Based Staff and family. Among the cuisine served were lontong (vegetable in coconut gravy), rendang ayam (slow cooked chicken in thick gravy), kuah kacang (peanut sauce) and lemang (glutinous rice).
In the afternoon, close friends and colleagues with their family members also came a-calling, adding to the festivities.
