IFTAR BY THE EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA IN SENEGAL, 24 MAY 2019
On 24 May 2019, corresponding to 18 Ramadan 1440 Hijri, the Embassy of Malaysia in Senegal had successfully organized an iftar or ‘Ndogou’ (in local dialect) at Rumah Malaysia and followed by solat sunat tarawih.
The iftar program is an annual program hosted by the Embassy of Malaysia for its staff members during the month of Ramadan. This time around, the event saw the participation of about 40 people including Home Based Staff, fellow Malaysians, Locally Recruited Staff (LRS), former LRS, and their family members. Food for the breaking of the fast was a wholly-Malaysian menu, comprising nasi (rice), ayam masak berlada (chicken in chilli), kobis masak lemak puteh (cabbage in coconut milk), and pergedil (Malaysian meat balls).
