This year’s Malaysian National Sports Day fell on 13 October 2018. In line with the theme ‘Jom Turun Padang’ (Going To The Grassroots) the Embassy of Malaysia in Dakar observed the National Sports Day on 12 October 2018 at the Monument de la Renaissance Africaine in Dakar, Senegal.
Around 49 people participated during the event including diplomats and citizens from Indonesia, Thailand, India, Lebanon. Philippines, France, Mali and Senegal. Among the activities held were a light cardio with stretching before walking up and down the monument.
The participants also carried their small country flags as a sign of solidarity during the event.
The Embassy of Malaysia would like to record their appreciation to the Ambassadors of Indonesia, India and Thailand who also ‘Turun Padang’ with the Malaysians at the monument this year.
