25 September 2013 - Vecernje Novosti Daily Newspaper, the largest circulation newspapers in Serbia and the region (also being published in Bosnia and Montenegro) covered the meeting between Charge d'Affaires a.i. of the Malaysian Embassy and the Sports Association of Serbia representatives that took place on 24 September 2013 with the following artcle:

Aleksandar Sostar, President, Dane Korica, Secretary General and Vladimir Batez, Advisor at the Sprots Association of Serbia hosted a meeting with the Malaysian Charge d'Affaires a.i. Mr. Yubazlan Yusof and his associates.
- Sport is the best way to meet, get to know and understand better different cultures, people and countries – said Aleksandar Sostar, welcoming the distinguished guest. I am sure there is a lot of room for development of cooperation between Serbia and Malaysia, especially regarding exchange and education of coaches, sports experts, athletes and teams.
A similar organization to the Sports Association of Serbia operates in Malaysia as well, which prompted the initiative for signing a protocol on cooperation. The most popular sport in Malaysia is football, while badminton, squash and field hockey are very popular. Charge d'Affaires a.i. Yusof commended the results achieved by the Serbian athletes and pointed out that such sucesses guarantee that Serbian sports experts and champions could contribute to the development of sports in Malaysia by sharing thier rich experience. He emphasized the importance of including the cooperation between branch sports assocations in the protocol on cooperation between Serbia and Malaysia draft.
