Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan received Ambassador of Malaysia
A meeting was held at the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan between the Chairman Mergen Gurdov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Turkmenistan, Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin, with the aim of developing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. This was reported by the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan noted that necessary work is being carried out consistently to develop effective relations with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
He also drew attention to the fact that during the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow to Malaysia on December 18-19, 2024, a number of important documents were signed to improve mutually beneficial trade, economic and business cooperation between the two countries, including a Memorandum of Understanding between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia and the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. These documents will open up new opportunities for further expanding the scope of Turkmen-Malaysian trade relations and developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
During the meeting, organizational issues of the "International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investment to the Economy of Turkmenistan", which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on April 23-24, 2025, were also discussed.
This forum will be of great importance for developing mutual relations between the business circles of the two countries and creating new investment opportunities.
