Ambassador Suhaimi held a courtesy call on H.E. Sazakov Amanmuhammet Shyhgulyevich, Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, on 24 February 2026. Representatives from PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd were also present, led by Mr. Ismadi bin Ismail, Chief Executive Officer.
The meeting primarily aimed to express appreciation to the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan for its continued support and cooperation extended to PETRONAS. Mr. Ismadi personally conveyed his gratitude to the Chairman and took the opportunity to invite him to the celebration of 30 Years of PETRONAS in Turkmenistan, scheduled this year.
Both sides also discussed ways to further facilitate PETRONAS’s operations in Turkmenistan, including topics related to work permits, visas and bilateral cooperation on immigration matters.
