On 16 January 2026, Ambassador Suhaimi hosted Mr. Jazmie Osman, General Manager (Project Development and International Assets) of Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd., for tea at Rumah Malaysia. Mr. Jazmie was in Turkmenistan for site visits in Ashgabat and Kiyanly.
During the meeting, Mr. Jazmie updated Ambassador Suhaimi on Petronas Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn. Bhd.'s progress in Block 1 gas fields in the Caspian Sea. They also discussed developments in Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector, highlighting the economic potential of the Galkynysh gas field.
The courtesy call reinforced the strong working relationship between Petronas and the Embassy.
