The Embassy of Malaysia together with the Malaysian community in Ashgabat took part in the International Food Festival organised by Ashgabat International School on 22 April 2017. Among the Malaysian food served were satay and peanut sauce, fried rice, fried vermicelli, curry puff, fried banana balls, baked pandan flan and sweet mung beans dessert. The Malaysian booth received an overwhelming response from visitors from all around Ashgabat.
