Ambassador Suhaimi had a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, H.E Mahri Bashimova on 4 February 2026 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The meeting primarily aimed at lobbying Turkmenistan for Malaysia’s candiature to the United Nations Human Rights Council 2030-2032.
Both sides also discussed on potential areas of cooperation within the international organisation and exchanged views on enhancing Malaysia-Turkmenistan bilateral relations.
