13 September 2017, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Turkey with other Head of Missions from the ASEAN Ankara Committee officiated a tree planting ceremony at the National Library of the Republic of Turkey, to mark the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN. The ceremony was a part of the ASEAN Awareness Week initiative that will take place from 13 to 20 September 2017
