27 June 2025 – His Excellency Sazali bin Mustafa Kamal, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Türkiye hosted the ASEAN Chairmanship Handover Ceremony, marking the formal transfer of the ASEAN Ankara Committee (AAC) Chairmanship from Malaysia to the Republic of the Philippines.
Ambassador Sazali expressed appreciation to AAC Ambassadors for their support and contributions during Malaysia's AAC Chairmanship for the past 6 months. Throughout Malaysia's AAC Chairmanship, there were a number of programmes organised to promote Malaysia ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 and outreach programmes to increase ASEAN awareness in Turkiye.
