30 September 2025 – The Embassy of Malaysia in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye hosted a reception to celebrate Malaysia Day. The joyous occasion was held at Sheraton Hotel Ankara and was graced by His Excellency Ibrahim Yumakli, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye, as the Guest of Honour.
The reception was attended by more than 400 guests comprising of Senior officials from the various Ministries and agencies of the Republic of Türkiye, members of the diplomatic corps, Business chambers and commerce, academia, think tanks, media and tour operators.
In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Sazali underlined that bilateral relations between Malaysia and Türkiye has grown from strength to strength in a multifaceted field of cooperation ranging from Political dialogue, diplomacy, trade and investment, defence, education and disaster management.
Ambassador Sazali also took the opportunity to Promote Malaysia's Chairmanship of ASEAN 2025 and Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
The guests were entertained with performance from the Sarawak culture group, Malaysian traditional food, handicraft and arts exhibition.
