Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar bin Marzuki, the State Secretary of Sarawak visited Türkiye recently to explore potential collaboration in the field of higher education. The State Secretary visited the Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara University and Bursa Uludag University.
The Sarawak State Government has expressed interest in sending students to study in Turkish universities. Additionally, the Sarawak State Government also looks forward to have a joint collaboration with one of the Turkish University in language studies.
