ASIAN FOOD AND CULTURE FESTIVAL 2015

The “ASIAN FOOD AND CULTURE FESTIVAL” is back in town for the third time, offering a glimpse of the Asian experience through food, culture and arts. The Festival is set to take place on Sunday, 18 October 2015 from 12:00 hours to 17:00 hours at the Column Hall (Kolonna Zala), Kyiv City State Administration, 36 Khreshchatyk Street. The Festival is open for public and the entrance is free of charge.

 

The “Asian Food and Cultural Festival 2015” provides a wonderful opportunity for the people of Kyiv to explore and experience the cultural roots and contemporary influences of participating Asian countries. Families and friends are able to enjoy cooking demonstration, cultural performances, film and documentaries screening and art exhibitions. The excitement won’t stop there as visitors will be able to sample quintessential Asian cuisines on sale. Visitors could also treat themselves to shopping of diverse craft products and decorative accessories.

 

Attractive prizes provided by generous sponsors during the raffles draw also await visitors of the Festival. All proceeds from the Festival will go towards supporting the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Ukraine.

 

The “Asian Food and Cultural Festival 2015” is a joint effort by the Embassies of Asian countries accredited to Ukraine (India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kyrgyz Republic, Lebanon, Malaysia, Pakistan, Palestine, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam) and in partnership with the Kyiv City Council. The Festival is aimed to forge closer cultural links between participating Asian countries and Ukraine, particularly to promote Kyiv as the city of unity.
