The conference on the world financial crisis was organized by the Inter Regional Academy of Personnel Management which is a non-governmental higher education and research establishment of Ukraine in Kiev on 24 March 2009. Ambassador Dato’ Abdullah Sani Omar had attended the conference as to exchange views on how to address the current world financial crisis that affected the whole world. Ukraine is one of the other four European countries namely Iceland, Belarus, Hungary and Latvia that have sought the help of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank since the global economy went into a tailspin in 2008.
