The Embassy of Malaysia in Kyiv hosted a group of undergraduates from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts on 2 May 2019. The visit was initiated by the university’s Faculty of International Law and Relations aimed at raising intercultural awareness amongst their students
The students enjoyed the presentation delivered by H.E. Ambassador Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah that touched on the geography, government and economy of Malaysia, among others. H.E. Ambassador also introduced the uniqueness of Malaysian food, cultural and traditions which are heavily influenced by the nation’s multicultural society.
The students then had the opportunity to have a taste of Malaysian dish with the fried koay teow and keropok ikan prepared for the day.
The Embassy recognises the importance for students to develop intercultural awareness, especially in today's increasingly interconnected and globalised world. Through its public diplomacy programme, the Embassy is able to offer Ukrainian students to experience a glimpse of Malaysian culture.
