On 2 September 2020, H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine and Datin Roslina Ismail hosted a luncheon in conjunction with the 63rd National Day of Malaysia held at the Embassy of Malaysia. This year’s National Day celebration had to be scaled down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The event was attended only by the embassy’s staff and Malaysians in Kyiv. After the speech by the Malaysian ambassador, the video of ‘Malaysia’s Virtual National Day 2020 Reception’ featuring performance by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra was shown to the guests. Later the guests were treated to dishes including chicken briyani, roti jala, kuih bakar and many more. The spirit of patriotism was evident despite it being a low-key affair.
