On 6 December 2019, H.E. Raja Dato' Reza Raja Zaib Shah, the Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine and spouse YBhg. Datin Roslina Ismail hosted a networking dinner for the Ukrainian alumni of Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) participants at the Black Market Restaurant in Kyiv.
Ukraine was accepted as the 144th Recipient Country of the MTCP in 2018. Ukrainian participants began participating in the MTCP programme since mid of 2019 in various technical fields. This development heralds a new chapter in Malaysia-Ukraine bilateral relations and people to people contact.
At the dinner, H.E. Ambassador congratulated the eleven participants for having successfully completed trainings in Malaysia throughout this year as the pioneer batch of MTCP participants from Ukraine. The Ambassador also provided some background of MTCP programme covering its history, goals and achievements thus far.
While the alumni enjoyed the sumptuous dinner, they also had the opportunity to network with the Embassy’s staff and among themselves. The alumni also shared their opinion and experience on how they have benefitted from the courses that they have attended in Malaysia. The Ambassador informed the alumni group that the Embassy will continue to engage with them in future activities organised by the Embassy.
