The Embassy hosted the Hari Raya Celebration on 13 May 2021 at Rumah Malaysia. The celebration was held to commemorate the Eid Fitri or Hari Raya and the beginning of Syawal after Muslims all over the world observe month-long fasting in Ramadhan. The celebration gathered Malaysian diaspora in Ukraine, guests from the diplomatic corps as well as the staff of the Embassy of Malaysia and their family members. Guests were treated to a sumptuous local and special Hari Raya cuisines such as rendang, nasi impit, kuah kacang, nasi hujan panas, roti jala and satay.
The open house culture is common in Malaysia, particularly during festive seasons. Open house is where you welcome neighbours, family and friends to your house and entertain guests with a table spread of delicious food.
