The Embassy of Malaysia, Washington D.C. held its first Perhimpunan since its establishment in 1957. All Department Heads, Home-based staff and local staff were in attendance. During his address, TYT Dato’ Sri Dr. Jamaludin Jarjis underlined the need to have the Perhimpunan held every quarter in order to bring all staff members together. He also took the opportunity to stress the importance of all Embassy staff to work together as a team in order to keep the jalur gemilang flying high. He highlighted the recent improvements in Malaysia-U.S. relations and underscored the need to take bilateral ties to even greater heights in 2011.
