Around 30 students led by their teacher, Mr. Erkin from the Bahasa Malaysia Faculty of Tashkent Institute of Oriental Studies gathered at the Ambassador’s Residence on 27 February 2016 for an interactive session with the Embassy’s Home Based Staff and their families. Most of them were in their first year and learn Bahasa Malaysia as their main foreign language. This program was a great opportunity for them to practice the Language with native speakers. Apart from having conversation with the Embassy’s staff, the students had a chance to savor some Malaysian food such as curry puff, sweet cakes (bingka ubi), noodles and other desserts at the High Tea reception. The students also took part in the two competitions i.e. public speaking and karaoke session. In these two activities, they were able to show their talent and skills in using Bahasa Malaysia with native speakers.
