The 26th Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) was held from 18-21 January 2018 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The Malaysian delegation was headed by YB Tan Sri Dato Sri SA Vigneswaran, President of the Senate of Malaysia. The theme of the forum was "Parliamentary Partnership: Peace, Innovation and Sustainable Development". At the sidelines of the 26th APPF, Malaysian delegation had three (3) bilateral meetings i.e. Vietnam, Morocco and Mexico.
In welcoming the delegation to Hanoi, H.E. Ambassador Mohd Zamruni Khalid hosted dinner for the delegation on 17 January 2018 at Rumah Malaysia. The forum concluded on 20 January 2018 with the adoption of the Hanoi Declaration and signing of the joint statement by all heads of delegations. The next APPF will be hosted by Cambodia.
