8TH INTERNATIONAL FOOD FESTIVAL 2020
SUNDAY, 6 DECEMBER 2020 AT VAN PHUC DIPLOMATIC COMPOUND, HANOI
The Embassy of Malaysia in Hanoi together with PERWAKILAN and all HBS participated in the 8th International Food Festival 2020 at Van Phuc Diplomatic Compound, Hanoi. The event was held on Sunday, 6 December 2020 at the Van Phuc Diplomatic Compound, Hanoi. Malaysian booth was located at the same row with other ASEAN countries.
The festival is an annual cultural and charity fundraising event organised by the Service Department for Diplomatic Corps, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vietnam, featuring around 120 pavilions representing embassies, foreign relations department, non-governmental organisations and foreign cultural centres in Vietnam.
The objective of the event is to promote diversity and friendship among different cultures and nations as well as to include donations and contributions to be donated to charitable activities such as construction of schools, new bridges and also scholarships for students.
The event gave Malaysia the opportunity to showcase the uniqueness of our multiracial culture and various mouth-watering delicacies. PERWAKILAN ladies promote Malaysia’s local delicacies by selling Nasi Lemak, Rendang Ayam, Sate, Ayam Goreng, Cucur Udang, Cekodok Pisang, Karipap, Kuih Puteri Ayu and Teh Tarik.
