The Government of Malaysia presented the candidature of Dr. Mazlan Madon, Chief Geoscientist of PETRONAS, Malaysia's national petroleum company for the membership in the CLCS for a term of 5 years begginning June 2012 at the elections to be held during the 22nd Meeting of State Parties to the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea from 4-11 June 2012.
