In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, the Embassy of Malaysia in Hanoi hosted Iftar at the Al Noor Mosque Hanoi on Friday, 9 June 2017 (14 Ramadhan 1438H). More than 200 Muslims around Hanoi attended the event, at the one and only mosque in Hanoi, including Ambassadors of OIC countries.
The packed food for the breaking of fast was prepared by a Malaysian caterer while Malaysian kuih-muih were prepared by PERWAKILAN Hanoi. The smooth flowing of the event gathered many praises as this was the first time an organizer was distributing packed food, instead of buffet during Iftar at the Mosque. Since the fasting period during Hanoi’s summer stretches to over 15 hours this year, being able to break the fast without queuing made everyone contented with the overall event.
