LATEST PROCEDURES (COVID-19 TEST AND QUARANTINE) FOR TRAVELLERS ENTERING MALAYSIA
On 17 December 2020, the Government of Malaysia has announced that travellers (Malaysian or non-Malaysian) arriving from abroad into Malaysia will have to be quarantined as below:
- Seven (7) days if the RT – PCR report is shown at the point of entry; and
- 10 days if the RT – PCR report was unable to be provided at the point of entry.
2. The Government of Malaysia has decided the following for adhere to the following regulations as below:
- Compulsory COVID-19 RT-PCR test three (3) days prior departing for Malaysia; and
- To pay charges imposed by the authorities including COVID-19 tests, quarantine and hospitalization charges in Malaysia.
3. Malaysians and non-Malaysians from Vietnam are advised to undergo the COVID-19 test three days prior flight to Malaysia. All the tests must be performed at designated hospitals / medical institutions in Vietnam.
