NOTIFICATION - CANCELLATION OF MALAYSIA MY SECOND HOME (MM2H) PASS WITHOUT ENTERING INTO MALAYSIA
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreaks worldwide, most countries are still enforcing exit and entry bans on individuals. To-date, the Government of Malaysia through the Department of Immigration only allows certain categories of pass holders to enter Malaysia.
2. Due to certain requests from individuals who wish to cancel their MM2H pass without entering Malaysia, the Department of Immigration of Malaysia has decided the following:
(i) Pass holders must be present at any Malaysian Embassy / High Commission / Consulate General or Consulate and submit the letter “Request for MM2H Cancellation”;
(ii) Malaysian Missions will cancel the MM2H sticker pass (manually) from the date the pass holders’ request was submitted;
(iii) Pass holders can then email to the MM2H Unit, Visa, Pass and Permit Division, Department of Immigration of Malaysia for cancellation in the government system. The email address is mm2h@imi.gov.my. Checklist for the cancellation request via email is as below:
- Request for MM2H Cancellation letter;
- Copy of participants’ conditional approval letter;
- Copy of MM2H sticker that has been cancelled (manually) by Malaysian
- Copy of pass cancellation letter from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and
Culture of Malaysia
3. Please be informed that for withdrawal of savings from the Fixed Deposit Accounts, pass holders must communicate directly with banks on the process and procedures.
