On 12 March 2018, the Embassy of Malaysia in Hanoi received a visit from the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MTAT). The delegation consisted of eight officials and 33 course participants. The visit was held in conjunction with the study visit of the College to Hanoi from 12 to 16 March 2018, and as part of the programme to commemorate the 45th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Vietnam.
The programme began with a courtesy call by head of the delegation Capt. TLDM Badrul Hisham Mohamed on H.E. Ambassador Mohd Zamruni Khalid. Capt. Badrul Hisham was accompanied by Prof. Ruhanas Harun from the National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM) and officials from MTAT. The participants were then briefed by the Deputy Chief of Mission on the current state of bilateral relations between Malaysia and Vietnam, by the First Secretary of MITI in Hanoi on bilateral trade and economy, and by the Defence Attache on security issues and defence cooperation between the two countries. There was also Q & A session and the end of the briefing.
The guests were treated with Malaysian and Vietnamese delicacies such as Fried Mihun, Fresh Spring Rolls, Teh Tarik and various Malaysian desserts prepared by the Embassy.
