The High Commission of Malaysia in Pretoria today hosted Program Sinergy Rakyat Malaysia, bringing together Malaysians and their families across South Africa for a day of community engagement, family-friendly games, and the distribution of Qurban meat in conjunction with Aidiladha 1447H.

Organised with the support and guidance of H.E. Dato' Yubazlan Yusof, High Commissioner of Malaysia to South Africa, the programme reflects Malaysia’s commitment to fostering strong ties among its citizens overseas while nurturing a spirit of unity, belonging, and mutual support far from home.

A highlight of the programme was the distribution of Qurban meat to Malaysian students studying at Darul Uloom Azaadville, Darul Uloom Zakariyya, Darul Uloom Newcastle, and Madrassah In'aamiyyah Camperdown, symbolising continued care and support for the welfare of Malaysians abroad.

What makes the Synergy Programme particularly meaningful is its community-driven approach. Organised with the active participation of Malaysians in South Africa, especially students, the initiative embodies the spirit of people-to-people diplomacy, volunteerism, and shared responsibility in strengthening Malaysian networks overseas.  Through programmes like these, the High Commission continues to reinforce the values of unity, harmony, and togetherness that define the Malaysian spirit - regardless of distance or geography.
