Ambassador Azman 
visited the Islamic Centre of Argentina and paid a courtesy call on the President, Mr. Aníbal Bachir Bakir, and the Director of Halal Department, Mr. Alexis Yamil El Sayer. Ambassador Azman was accompanied by Minister Counsellor Shazril Suhaimi and Marketing Officer of MATRADE, Aldana Depetro.
Both sides exchanged views and discussed a wide spectrum of issues on Islam in Argentina and Malaysia including the halal certification. It was highlighted in the discussion that Islamic Centre has obtained halal certification from the Department of Islamic Development of Malaysia (JAKIM).
Malaysia is the leading halal hub and its halal certification is widely recognised by most countries in the world.
