The seventh rounds of negotiation on the Malaysia-EU Free Trade Agreement (MEUFTA) was held in Brussels from 18-20 April 2012. Malaysia delegation was led by Datuk Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria, Secretary General of Ministry of International Trade and Industry. Negotiations covered all 13 working groups and recorded satisfactory progress though few articles remained difficult . The MEUFTA will serve to enhance business confidence and create new opportunities for trade and investment bilaterally. In honour of the delegation, H.E. Ambassador Dato' Zainuddin Yahya hosted dinner reception at the Chancery.
