ABC AMBASSADORS' MET WITH THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF LUXEMBOURG
The meeting between the ASEAN Brussels Committee (ABC) with the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg was held on 8 October 2009, at 2.30 pm at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg. The ABC delegation was led H.E. Dato' Hussein Haniff, Ambassador of Malaysia to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Communities while the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg was led by Mr. Carlo Thelen, Member of the Managing Board, International Department of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
This is the second year in a row that such a meeting was organised for the ABC Ambassadors to provide the opportunity to meet up and network with the officials of the Chamber. The last meeting was held in May 2008. Despite the current economic challenges, the meeting shows that there remained strong interest from both sides on the economic potentials of ASEAN which augurs well on the future strengthening of relations between the two regions in particular between ASEAN and Luxembourg.
