Ambassador of Malaysia Met With the Managing Director of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Antwerp (Voka), Belgium

His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Hussein Haniff made a courtesy call on the Managing Director of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Antwerpen (VOKA), Belgium, Mr. Luc Lewel on Tuesday, 6 October 2009.  He was accompanied by Ms. Rusiah Mohamed, Trade Commissioner, MATRADE Rotterdam and Mr. Shahril Nizam Abdul Malek, First Secretary (Political) Embassy of Malaysia & Mission of Malaysia to the EC. Mr. Lewel was joined in the meeting by Ms. Jill, Suetens, Manager of the International Department of VOKA.


The purpose of the courtesy call is to deepen the existing bilateral trade and investment relations by seeking potential areas of collaboration particularly with the Flanders region as well as to invite VOKA to look more closely at the opportunity to do more business with ASEAN, by using Malaysia as a strategic springboard into the region.

 

 

VOKA is the largest Flemish network of entrepreneurs in Belgium. It has 18,000 members which represent 62 per cent of the employment and the added value in the private sector in Flanders
