The Asia-Pacific Women's Association (APWA) held its Charity Bazaar on 4 June 2011 at the Woluwe Cultural Centre, Brussels. The objective of the event is to raise funds to be donated to charity organisations, apart from promoting Asia and the Pacific local cuisines and traditional items. PERWAKILAN Brussels Acting President, Mrs. Noor Azida Azmi and Secretary, Ms. Rafiqa Hazura Md Ridzuan represented PERWAKILAN Brussels as APWA members.

Assisted by the Embassy of Malaysia,  PERWAKILAN Brussels participated in the Bazaar by opening a booth selling typical Malaysian cuisine, i.e. nasi lemak with sambal, eggs and fried chicken, beef rendang, vegetarian fried beehoon, vegetarian curry puff and kuih bakar pandan. Also, nine Malaysian children took part in the Parade of Nations, where they donned national costumes, i.e. baju kurung, baju kebaya, baju melayu, cheongsam, thangzhuang, lengga and kurta.

Thirty Asian and Pacific countries took part in the event. The proceeds raised from the Bazaar and tombola tickets were donated to the Fusi Alofa Disability Association in Tuvalu, an orphanage in Indonesia and L'Eglantier, a Belgian shelter for women and children in need. The Embassy of Malaysia contributed 4 tombola gifts - a return flight ticket (Amsterdam/Kuala Lumpur/Amsterdam, courtesy of Malaysia Airlines), and two tea sets and one Sensio Coffee maker (courtesy of MPOC).
