On 23 September 2011, H.E. Dato' Zainuddin Yahya, accompanied by Datin Fairos Ishak, arrived in Brussels to assume his new assignment as the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Belgium and Head of the Mission of Malaysia to the European Union, with concurrent accreditation as the Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
His predecessor, H.E. Dato' Hussein Haniff is currently the Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations in New York, after serving in Brussels for 2 years and 8 months.
Prior to this, H.E. Dato' Zainuddin Yahya was the Deputy Secretary General (Management), Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia for more than a year.
