His Excellency Dato' Hussein Haniff met with Mr. Yves Mersch, the Governor of the Central Bank of Luxembourg on 13 July 2009 (Monday). During the meeting, both sides discussed possible areas of cooperation and linkages between Malaysia and Luxembourg, especially in the area of Islamic finance.
During the meeting, the Ambassador also apprised on the latest developments in Malaysia including the recent announcements made by YAB PM on liberalisation in the financial sector and services sub-sectors, as well as the new economic reforms to further boost foreign direct investment into Malaysia.
