1st Syawal 1432Hijrah was celebrated on 30th August 2011 in Belgium. The Embassy of Malaysia hosted the Eid-ul Fitr prayers and khutbah, followed by light meal. Around fifty Malaysians, students and those working in Brussels together with the Embassy officers and staffs and their family gathered to celebrate the auspicious day.
Those present were served with authentic typical Malay Eid-ul Fitr dishes, namely kuah kacang, rendang daging, nasi himpit, kuah lodeh and various cakes and cookies. Also the combination of nasi tomato together with ayam masak merah and jelatah/acar timun were served at the event.
