On Saturday, 14 June 2014, the Embassy of Malaysia in collaboration with PERWAKILAN Brussels (Malaysian Ladies Association, Brussels) organised a Malaysian Bazaar at the compound of the Embassy of Malaysia in Brussels.
The main objective was to show-case and promote Malaysian delicacies and handicrafts to the local community. There were many stalls selling Malaysian popular cuisines such as nasi lemak, rendang daging, roti jala, rojak buah, asam pedas and many more, including Malaysian all-time favourite drink Teh- tarik, air batu campur and cendol including traditional desserts such as bubur cha cha and assorted kuih-muih. Malaysian handicrafts such as mengkuang purse and batik were also on sale.
As part of its efforts to promote palm oil in Brussels, the Embassy also gave away cooking palm oil to each visitor. The cooking oil was sponsored by the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), Brussels Office.
