On 18 March 2009, His Excellency Dato' Hussein Haniff, Ambassador of Malaysia to Belgium who is also accredited to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg as well as to the European Communities, presented his credentials to the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. His Excellency Ambassador was accompanied by two other officials from the Embassy, namely Minister Counsellor (Trade Affairs) and Second Secretary (Political) for the ceremony.
After the Presentation of Credentials, His Excellency Ambassador was granted a 15 minutes audience with His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. During the audience, both side agreed that there is a need to further intensify efforts in strengthening and deepening the bilateral relations between Malaysia and Luxembourg.
Earlier, His Excellency Dato' Hussein Haniff on 14 October 2008, had presented his credentials to the King of Belgium as well as to the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso on 20 October 2008. |
