Speakers, Mr. Noel Clehane, Executive Board Member of EU-ASEAN Business Council and Ms Jill Craig, Managing Director of Hume Brophy, shared their knowledge and vast experience in dealing with relevant people and EU institutions in Brussels. It was an interactive session that provided an opportunity for all participants to sharpen their engagement skills with the EU institutions and the important actors; understand how the EU institutions works in practice; plan an effective engagement / advocacy strategy with the EU; and engage & network with the right stakeholders in Brussels.
In his closing remarks, HE Dato’ Ahmad Rozian Abd Ghani, Ambassador of Malaysia to Belgium & the EU, noted that all ASEAN Missions in Brussels support the leadership of Cambodia as the ASEAN Chair under the theme “ASEAN A.C.T.: Addressing Challenges Together”. HE Ambassador also stress the importance of ASEAN to continue to collaborate and work together in advocating the relevant important agenda across to the EU and other stakeholders in Brussels.
