Post Title : Office Clerk
Terms of Employment : Contract for two years (renewable)
BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Position reports to the Economic Affairs’ office and serves as the administrative assistant for the office. The position provides a wide range of administrative duties, including but not limited to managing finance, asset and stock management, handling correspondence, filing and e-filing, event management and managing public relations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Job Knowledge: Candidate must display a detailed understanding of core administrative, financial and personnel matters. Must be familiar with host country federal, regional, and municipal regulations and EU pertaining to administrative/rules. Expected to also possess a good knowledge of trade and economic matters related to EU, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Skills and Abilities: Must be an exceptionally discrete person who is able to maintain absolute confidentiality with regard to records and information. Proficient in computer skills especially Microsoft Office and other relevant programs. This position requires the ability to provide excellent customer service and to be able to effectively communicate with individuals of all ranks and employee types. Must have the ability to multi-task and to manage programs independently. Must possess excellent English grammar, spelling, punctuation and formatting skills. Must be able to proofread and submit documents without error, as well as correspond utilising a clear and concise writing style. Candidate should be in possession of necessary qualifications and knowledge in handling the commercial and trade-related works.
Education Requirements: Minimum Diploma (preferably in administration, accounting or economic)
Experience: Experience in office management, finance and accounting is an advantage. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Language: Able to speak and draft letters in English, and French and/or Dutch. Knowledge of working level Malaysian national language (Bahasa Melayu) is an advantage.
