On 18 March 2009, His Excellency Dato' Hussein Haniff visited the biggest satellite company in Europe, SES Global. At present, through one of its subsidiary company, SES Global is in collaboration with Telekom Malaysia in providing broadband services in Malaysia.
SES Global holds 25% percent of the world's market share. 33 percent of the company shares are hold by the Government of Luxembourg as well as the two major local banks in Luxembourg. SES Global is the world's largest distributor of audio and visual content and 75% of its total revenue comes from its business capacity.
His Excellency Dato' Hussein Haniff had invited the company to consider establishing an office in Malaysia particularly in Cyberjaya and apply for the MSC status company to enjoy the benefits and advantages given by the Government of Malaysia to high ends industry. |
According to Mr. Hoffman, one of the two Vice President of the SES Global, the company is impressed with the ICT facilities in Malaysia especially the MEASAT facilities in Cyberjaya. He said that the company considers Malaysia as one of the promising market in the region. |
