On 18 March 2009, following his Presentation of Credentials, His Excellency Dato' Hussein Haniff, visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of Luxembourg and made a courtesy call on Mr. Paul Duhr, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of Luxembourg.
Both sides took this opportunity to discuss on new efforts and initiatives to strengthen bilateral linkages and exchanges between both countries in the areas of economy, trade and investment, Islamic Banking, environment and law enforcement including combating piracy and crime at sea.
Apart from meeting the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of Luxembourg, His Excellency Ambassador also met with Mr Paul Duhr, Director for International Economic Affairs to discuss on trade related issues.
