ASEAN Dhaka Committee (ADC) celebrated the 58th ASEAN Day at the Royal Thai Embassy.
Co-hosted by the High Commission of Brunei as current ADC Chair and all ASEAN Heads of Mission in Dhaka, the event was graced by H.E. Mustafa Sarwar Farooki, Honourable Adviser to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs,
Approximately 130 guests, including senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, government agencies, diplomatic corps, and international organisations attended the ceremony.
As Malaysia is the current Chair of ASEAN, the Malaysian High Commissioner was invited to deliver his remarks in which he highlighted the Kuala Lumpur Declaration, ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and promoted the upcoming 47th ASEAN Summit. He further reaffirmed Malaysia's support for ASEAN-led efforts to foster peace, dialogue, and regional stability.
The celebration underscored ASEAN’s commitment to strengthening ties with Bangladesh in trade, connectivity, education, climate resilience, and people-to-people exchanges etc.
