DHAKA- “Robi Presents Showcase Malaysia 2013” was officiated by Her Excellency Norlin Othman, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh on 23 May 2013 at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka. Other VIP Guests at the Opening Ceremony were H.E. Dilip Barua, Honourable Minister of Industries of Bangladesh; Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Soong Siew Hoong, Executive Adviser of Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM); Dr. Mary Wong Lai Lin, CEO of Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council; Mr. Syed Nurul Islam, President of BMCCI and Chairman Organizing Committee Showcase Malaysia 2013; Mr. Nasir A. Choudhury, Vice President of BMCCI and Mr. Ir Md. Alamgir Jalil Honorary Secretary General BMCCI.
The 3-day event was organized by the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) for the third time in Dhaka with the collaboration and support from the High Commission of Malaysia, Dhaka, Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Malaysia South-South Association (MASSA), Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines.
The objective of the event is not just to exhibit and introduce Malaysian best products and services to Bangladesh, but it will also serve as a platform for strengthening the existing relationship between businessmen and investors of the two brotherly countries.
