EMERGENCY TRAVEL DOCUMENT (EC) 

 

This document is issued to Malaysians holding an expired, lost passport or passport validity less than 6 months to return to Malaysia one way via all countries except listed below.

AT THE EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA, MANAMA  

 

 

Download and Complete 

1.       Form Im.42  (www.imi.gov.my or collect from the Embassy) 

(Please print on both side of paper. Printing on two pieces of paper will not be accepted

 

2.       Registration Form

 

Additional Document 

·        Cover letter explaining why you need the Emergency Certificate 

·        Current Malaysian Passport (if applicable) 

·        2 Notarized Copies of Malaysian Identity Card 

·        2 Notarized Copies of Birth Certificate 

·        2 Copies of Marriage Certificate (if applicable) 

·        2 Copies of Permanent Resident Card 

·        2 Copies of letter from your employer/school confirming your status 

·        Copy of Flight Details or Airplane Tickets 

·        The fee MYR50.00

·        Four (4) Recent passport-sized Photograph 

 
 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:        

 

* Please be sure to place your right thumb print the application form IM.42 in black ink 

* Please submit your application 2 weeks before departure. 

* All supporting documents MUST be certified by a Notary Public or Embassy , failure to do so will only delay the process of your application.
