MALAYSIA CELEBRATES ITS 51ST YEAR OF INDEPENDENCE

The Ambassador of Malaysia, H.E. Zulkifli Adnan hosted the 51st National Day reception at Dom Armije, Sarajevo on 29 August 2008.  Unlike in previous years, the reception was held two days earlier due to Ramadhan which fell on 1 September 2008.

 

2.         Some 350 guests from a good cross section of Bosnian society attended the reception.  These include the Minister of Defence of BH, Mr. Selmo Cikotic, Minister of Security, Mr. Tarik Sadovic, Deputy Minister of Civil Affairs, Mr. Senad Sepic, representatives from BH Parliamentary Assembly, representatives from cantons and municipalities, Islamic Community, international organizations, business community and media, academicians, members of UIA Alumni, MTCP and MDCP alumni members, beneficiaries of Project Malaysia and members of diplomatic corps.  The reception was able to attract not only those in Sarajevo but also from other major cities outside BH particularly Srebrenica, Mostar, Travnik and Tuzla.

 

3.         The reception began with the playing of both the BH national anthem and Negaraku.  The Ambassador and the Minister-in-Attendance, the Defence Minister of BH stood on the podium in front of the respective flags while the national anthems were played.  Guests were then treated to a generous spread of Malaysian food and cuisine prepared by PERWAKILAN (The Ladies Association of the Embassy of Malaysia) Sarajevo.  These include curry puffs, bihoon, kuih ketayap, kuih bakar, spring rolls and satay.  A selection of local Bosnian food was also on the table, prepared by the Dom Armije caterers.  The reception hall was decorated with Malaysian scenes which include bunga manggar at the entrance, Malaysian tourism photos, waus and flags.  Sarajevo TV also covered the event including a short interview with the Ambassador.  The clipping was shown on Sarajevo TV that evening at 9.00 pm.

 

 

MALEZIJA SLAVI 51 GODINU NEZAVISNOSTI

Nj.E. Zulkifli Adnan , ambasador Malezije bio je doma?in prijema povodom  51. Nacionalnog dana  u Domu Armije u Sarajevu 29 augusta 2008. Za razliku od predhodnih,  ovaj prijem odr?an je dva dana ranije zbog mjeseca ramazana.

Oko 350 pa?ljivo biranih gostiju bosanskog dru?tva prisustvovalo je prijemu. Ovo uklju?uje Ministra odbrane BiH, g. Selmo Cikoti?, Ministra sigurnosti BiH, g. Tarik Sadovi?, Zamjenika Civilnih poslova BiH, g. Senad ?epi?, predstavnike Parlamentarne skup?tine BiH, kantona,op?tina,islamske zajednice,me?unarodnih organizacija,

biznismene,medije,akademike,?lanove UIA Alumni,MTCP i MDCP ?lanove, korisnike Malezijskih projekata i ?lanove diplomatskog kora.Osim goste iz Sarajeva prijem je privukao i one iz Srebrenice, Mostara, Tuzle i Travnika.

Prijem je zapo?eo slu?anjem himni dviju zemalja. Ambasador i po?asni gost, Ministar odbrane BiH, odali su po?ast Maleziji i BiH ispred dr?avnih zastava. Nakon toga gosti su po?a??eni raznovrsnom jelima malezijske kuhinje pripremljenih od strane gospo?a koje ?ine Udru?enje ?ena ambasade Malezije. Ta jela su curry puffs,behoon,kuih ketayap,kuih bakar,spring rolls and satay. Ugostitelji Doma armije pripremili su izabrana bosanska jela. Prijemna dvorana prigodno je dekorisana malezijskim ukrasima kao sto su bunga manggar na samom ulazu, malezijskim turisti?kim fotografijama, waus i zastavama. TV Sarajevo  popratila je ovaj doga?aj uklju?uju?i i intervju sa Ambasadorom. Materijal je prikazan iste ve?eri na TV Sarajevu u 19 sati.
