A group of 10 selected final year students from the Faculty of Business Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA are currently in Sarajevo undertaking their practical/industrial training program in reputable companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They arrived in Sarajevo for their 5 months’ attachment beginning 30 November 2010 until 17 April 2011. The local companies participating in the programme are ZIRA (ICT company), MBI Development (construction), Teloptic (food, beverages and distributor) Euro-Asfalt (construction) and Bosna Bank International.

This is the first time that a Malaysian university has sent their students for practical training in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

All expenses pertaining to their assignment are borne by the University. During their meeting with the Ambassador of Malaysia, the Ambassador advised the students to not only work hard and excel in their training, but also to provide a good example and take advantage of their stay here in assimilating themselves with the Bosnian people and their culture.
